July 15, 2009

The self-titled debut album from THE KILLER AND THE STAR, the solo project of COLD frontman Scooter Ward, is available for streaming in its entirety at AOL Music. Released on July 14 via SonicStar Records, the newly formed independent entertainment company by principals Ward and Toby McDonald, the CD was preceded by a digital single, "Starts When You Fall", which arrived on June 23.

A 43-minute "mini-movie" featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the record and random events from the studio with producer Ross Robinson can be viewed at this location.

SonicStar Records recently signed an exclusive distribution deal with Fontana, the independent distribution arm of Universal Music Group, the world's leading music company.

Other upcoming releases from SonicStar will be a number of new offerings from COLD, including a new studio album, a B-sides and rarities album and a longform DVD.

Scooter Ward was interviewed by Alternative Addiction on May 5, 2009. The chat is now available for streaming at this location.
